What is PEMF?

PEMF stands for Pulsed Electro Magnetic Field. PEMF therapy gently emits a low frequency electrical transmission into the body. Our bodies operate at a low frequency. This makes sense because the Earth has a low frequency magnetic field around it and in simpler times, the earth’s low frequency magnetic field worked in tandem with our own low frequency fields and kept us physically balanced. In our current times however, out bodies have an imbalance as a result of all the electric devices we encounter every day. PEMF therapy increases the body’s cellular function by detoxifying and reenergizing the cells. We can use PEMF therapy on tissues, organs, and even bones.

How Does PEMF Work?

Our cells naturally have electric charges. Exposure to daily stress, processed foods, and all the electronic devices we use every day are just a few of the ways we deplete the body’s electrical energies. This depletion can cause negative effects that create dysfunction in our body. For example, before we get sick, our cell charges drop. PEMF therapy reaches into the body at the cell level and recharges it. Low frequency electrical pulses of energy waves go into the body creating the optimal environment for healing.

The practitioner simply places the rings or pads onto the body typically for 10 – 15 minutes so the low frequency energy can be absorbed.

What to expect in a PEMF session?

Clients simply rest while the pulsing goes into the body. Clients feel very relaxed during the process. The gentle pulsing of the machine may feel like a subtle tapping deep in the body. For injuries, patients can expect to see results within a few sessions. Athletes often report that their over all performance improves. Clients do not feel any pain during or after the session.
