Regular massage throughout pregnancy improves posture, muscle tone and flexibility, all of which, are important for a healthy delivery. It has also shown to help reduce sciatic nerve pain experienced by many women in the last trimester of pregnancy as the uterus rests on the muscles of the pelvic floor and lower back.
